Super Falcons fly pass New Zealand’s Football Ferns in 3-0 win.

In a friendly match that took place in Antalya, Turkey, the Nigerian Super Falcons defeated the Turkish football ferns 3 to 0.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup finals are in 100 days, and this was also the nine-time African champs’ third straight victory.

At the Mardan Sports Complex, the Falcons’ captain, Onome Ebi, who will play in her sixth FIFA World Cup final in Australia and New Zealand, headed the Super Falcons ahead after 34 minutes to turn the game around after the Ferns had applied some pressure to the Nigerian defense.

Rasheedat Ajibade, a Spanish forward, narrowly missed with a left-footed shot in the 21st minute, but 13 minutes later, when Ebi headed in a cross from Toni Payne, there was no stopping the unstoppable Ebi.

After some outstanding wing play by Michelle Alozie, Jennifer Echegini, who is powerful on the left side of the Nigeria defense, doubled the Super Falcons’ lead in the 48th minute.

In the 62nd minute, Hannah Wilkinson nearly made it a one-goal game, but Chiamaka Nnadozie made a fast intervention to preserve the 2-0 lead.

After Gift Monday took over for Asisat Oshoala, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene for Toni Payne, and Glory Ogbonna for Michelle Alozie, the Super Falcons continued to attack the Ferns’ half of the field.

Desire Oparanozie, a power striker who had been absent from the team for 18 months, scored a typical goal in extra time by holding up the ball and slicing past the goalkeeper despite having a defender pinned to her.

With this goal, the Falcons have now scored six goals while giving up just one in their last three games.

Nigeria will compete in Group B at the FIFA World Cup finals, which will take place from July 20 to August 20, together with the co-hosts Australia, the Republic of Ireland, and Canada.
