Phyna Journey to Stardom The Friendship, The Lessons and The Romance.

After garnering a total of 40.74 percent of the votes in the last week, Phyna was declared the winner of the seventh season of Big Brother Naija.

On Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the grand finale of this season, the winner was declared by the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

After a competitive 72 days, the native of Edo State defeated 23 other Housemates to win the prize.

This is the second time a female Housemate has been named Big Brother Naija’s victor against all odds.

With over a billion votes, over 40,000 auditions, and breaking social media engagement records, the seventh season of the BBNaija franchise will be remembered as its most successful one to date.

The inventive Show modifications and plot twists that started to appear early on contributed to the excitement.

Additionally, it kept viewers on the edge of their seats as they continually tried to predict Big Brother’s next move.

Given that this year’s version did not include the customary SMS voting tools, the success of this edition is all the more amazing.

Phyna entered the Level Up House full of enthusiasm and was instantly noticed by spectators who were curious about her unusual swag.

She made it known that she was a hype lady and a trailblazer who did not put up with bullshit when she first spoke with her fellow Housemates at the previous Level 2 to get to know each other. We could already tell we were in for a wild ride at this point.

She won over the hearts of her admirers with her outgoing personality and polished Pidgin English because they believed she was a “real” Housemate who wasn’t pretending in any way throughout her time there.

Phyna’s candor in discussing her life’s challenges made her an open book whose “grass to grace” journey was understandably accessible.

Phyna ‘s Romantic Entanglements

A week into the show, Phyna, a highly expressive Housemate, instantly admitted to having a crush on Eloswag and went on to offer him a passionate kiss during the first Saturday Night Party.

Phyna soon moved on when Eloswag did not return her affection because she was not ready to be reduced to pleading for love and attention.

Groovy was also experiencing relationship turmoil with Beauty and Chomzy during all of this.

Groovy and Phyna’s unexpected ship, however, developed following Beauty’s Disqualification, and Groophy was born.

Because Groovy decided to develop a relationship with Phyna instead of arguing Amaka’s case for a ship, the ship came as a surprise.

This led to a little squabble between Amaka and Phyna which was later sorted.

Phyna Dirty Fights

Like many other Housemates, Phyna had her share of arguments, and she frequently used Pidgin English to effectively convey her disgust with the issue at hand.

Phyna and her gossip partner Amaka got into their first fight in the House after a heated discussion over strategy between the two of them.

When the Levels merged, Phyna’s fight with Shella also caused a lot of online debate. While some fans supported her the entire time, others criticized her for how she spoke to Bella and Sheggz.

However, these fights demonstrated that she would rather face discomfort head-on than back down.

How Phyna restored the Pride of the Level 2 house.

How Phyna restored the Pride of the Level 2 house.

The old Level 2 was decimated early in the Season when they repeatedly failed to win the Head of House.

But Phyna ended the curse a few weeks prior to the Finale when she became the first Head of House to come from the former Level 2.

With the aid of Adekunle, Chizzy, Hermes, and other Housemates, Phyna was able to execute a spectacular Wager Presentation in her capacity as Head of House.

Despite having several stressful moments, her leadership prevented the House from going hungry.

She had accomplished a similar feat while Hermes was Head of House by assisting him in planning a dance routine for their Wager Presentation honoring those who had served in the military.

Phyna’s role in the House winning their Wager back to back put her in a position where she was seen as a goal-getter and not just a loud Housemate.

Friendships inside that failed outside the house.

Despite being a definite “agbero,” Phyna formed lovely friendships in the House during the entire Season.

Friendships inside that failed outside the house.

The first of these was Amaka’s relationship to Al Jazeera and CNN. The two had such a close friendship that they occasionally did Kayode’s job of dropping all the rumors and tidbits from the Level Up House in their conversations.

When the Levels combined, Phyna also formed an intermittent friendship with her fellow Edo girls, Chichi and Rachel.

Chichi eventually emerged as the Season’s Supreme Veto Power Holder, and she utilized her position to expedite Phyna’s passage to the Finale thanks to their relationship.

The Finale

As Ebuka crowned Phyna as the winner of the Level Up Season with a total of 40.74 percent of the Votes in the last week, onstage audience members erupted in jubilation.

Bryann received 26.74% of the vote, placing her as the first runner-up. Bella received 15.78% of the votes, placing her in third place.

Adekunle, who received 12.36 percent of the votes and placed fourth, Chichi, who received 2.49 percent, and Daniella, who received 1.89 percent, were the other members of the top six.
