Ilebaye, the BBNaija All Stars winner, shocked Nigerians by telling Ike Onyema what she told her as soon as she saw him outside the home.
Ilebaye opened out about her feelings on the incident with Ike in the Big Brother Naija home in a recent interview with Chude.
Ilebaye said she felt very sad and unworthy when asked how she was feeling at the time.
She wanted for improved communication and questioned why she was treated this way. She was hurt and wanted a solution that didn’t require throwing her clothing in the open.
She said; “I felt sad. I felt low. I felt like what did I do to deserve this? Like any human would literally be hurt. Even if I’ve hurt you, I’ve said something bad about you, you should have just come to me and told me Ilebaye, this is bad. You should have just done something that I would know yes, I’m wrong. But not throwing my clothes. I just felt like god, just open the ground, let me just enter inside. Cuz I was literally so so sad. My energy just went so low.”
When asked how she handled stressful situations like this one in the house, Ilebaye disclosed her coping strategies.
She admitted that she frequently withdrew to her bed, allowing herself to sob and let her feelings out. She occasionally found comfort in the seclusion of the restroom, where she felt free to cry any feelings she had. Her healing process benefited from prayer as well, since it gave her consolation and strength.
She said: “I just go to bed, and sleep, and cry. I either go into the toilet and cry out my mind, or I go to bed, pray, cry, and sleep.”
Ilebaye and Ike have reconciled outside the house despite the difficult experience within.
Ilebaye disclosed that she spoke with Ike about the incident in detail. Ike admitted his mistake and extended his heartfelt apologies.
Since then, they’ve been able to have cordial chats and their relationship has improved.
Ilebaye made it clear that she is eager to move on and has no resentment.
She said; “But I and Ike, we are cool now. Once outside the house I talked to him, I asked him about it, and he apologized. I came out and he said “congratulations, I am so sorry for what happened in the house”. We even gist. If I see him, we just talk.”
