The 10/10 housemates appear to be planning yet another contentious scheme, and this time, it involves exchanging beds.
With the help of HoH Rooboy, Dede and Faith are spearheading the effort to make the bed-switching game a reality.
However, the motivations and mechanisms underlying it are already causing friction, just like everything else in the house.
The house is nearly entirely gender-neutral at this point in the game. The suggested game?
To find out who they will ultimately share with, each housemate switches beds.
Following the Saturday Night Turn Up, Mide presented Bright Morgan with the concept.
That didn’t stop Mide from pushing. For her, the game was about testing boundaries and seeing if her partner could hold it together under pressure.
“Don’t test me,” Bright Morgan warned, insisting she could play if she wanted, but without him.
Mide wasn’t convinced – saying his reluctance actually made her question whether he could resist temptation if another woman ended up in his bed.
Meanwhile, Dede’s motivations were more straightforward. She wants to see which female housemates the guys would actually choose if given the chance.
Faith, on the other hand, suggested a twist: using a ballot system to let the women decide first. His reasoning?
It would be harder for the men to say no if a woman made the choice, compared to a girl rejecting a guy.
Jason Jae, though sceptical at first, seemed to be warming up to Faith’s idea. “Chakam,” he exclaimed after Faith’s pitch.
Still, the fear of rejection looms over the whole plan. What happens if someone shoots down an invitation to their bed? Awkward doesn’t even begin to cover it.
For Jason Jae, the issue of bed sharing is especially sensitive right now. He recently explained to Sultana why he broke his promise of choosing her as his HoH condo guest, saying that he didn’t know what might happen if they shared the HoH condo.
With a girlfriend waiting outside the house, Jason Jae insists on avoiding unnecessary drama – even if it means stepping back from what might seem like harmless fun. But does a game really count?
With bed switching stirring up strong feelings and divided opinions, the real question is: will this bold idea actually take off in a house already packed with tension? Only time will tell.
