‘I’ve no business with fraud’ – D’Banj brags after ICPC release

Oladapo Oyebanjo, better known by his stage as D’banj, has acknowledged that the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC), where he had been detained for more than 72 hours, had actually freed him.

The music artist further disclosed through his Instagram post on Friday night that he has nothing to do with fraud and is simply interested in shortening people’s lives.

“Global thank you to the world. I was invited on an ongoing investigation in ICPC. I have assisted the commission with all I know and I am confident in their capacity to unravel the truth. I have no business with fraud, all I do is chop life. I was released on self-recognition because nothing was seen or found on me. God bless you all my people,” he captioned his recent photo.

The musician cooperated with the Commission during their investigation, thus he was released on Friday afternoon.

D’banj was released on supervised probation, according to his attorney Pelumi Olajengbesi, who was unable to confirm whether the ICPC had granted the musician administrative bail.

Additionally, he stated that no evidence of fraudulent behavior was linked to the singer by the ICPC.

“There was nothing illegal discovered on him. When he recognized himself, he was let go. We now anticipate that Dbanj will receive a letter of clearance from the ICPC since, as we have consistently stated, he is innocent of the accusations made against him, the attorney said.
