“I was living in one of the most expensive neighborhoods abroad.” – Tacha

Tacha Akide, a former Big Brother Naija reality TV star, says she lived in the UK and paid £5K (N10.3M) a month in rent.

During her appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, she disclosed this.

The former BBNaija contestant talked about her time spent overseas.

She mentioned that many of the individuals she knows are too busy with their jobs to visit her because they have a lot of shifts to work.

She added that during her time there, she only paid £5K a month in rent.

Her words in part …

“I’ve been called different types of names. I got disqualified from the reality TV show where people killed, killed a goat, killed like stuff. The people you call your friends are not like, when you travel, they’re not really your friends anymore. And you also have to understand because they probably have like three shifts. like it literally was just me like living in one of the most expensive neighborhoods abroad like we’re talking five thousand pounds a month like before you before you sleep i wake up it’s 30 days already you’re like okay i have to start calculating i know people that wanted me to travel abroad like move to the UK. And when I came, they were too busy to even see me. And I understand because there, do you understand? You’re going to St. Louis, you’re going to Tesco, you’re going to like a superstore. You see someone lying down on the floor helplessly asking for cash. Like, can you give me one pound? Like, you’re seeing it happen for real, for real. It’s such a hard place where you don’t have uncles or aunties or parents or anybody understanding where you’re coming from because they also have a lot going on for them as well….”
