Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Kola Omotoso, has faced heavy criticism after a Friday night conversation with fellow housemate Dede triggered heated reactions across social media.
The encounter, which was caught on camera and extensively shared online, included Kola and Dede having a private conversation.
Even though it seemed like a lighthearted exchange, many viewers accused him of going too far.
As soon as the video went public, numerous internet users harshly branded Kola as a “rapist,” “predator,” and “simp.”
Reacting to the controversy, Kola’s family and management team released a statement on Saturday through his official X account, describing the allegations as false, malicious, and damaging.
They insisted that Kola had conducted himself with respect in the house, especially towards women, and warned that defamatory remarks would not be tolerated.
“We want to categorically state that the defamatory narratives being spread about Kola are false, malicious, and dangerous. Kola has never at any point violated the rules of the show or disrespected his fellow housemates,” the statement partly read.
Additionally, it cautioned that the family would pursue legal action against individuals or platforms found guilty of spreading damaging lies about his character.
