Kola Omotosho, a Big Brother Naija Season 10 finalist, has given an explanation for why, despite their close relationship both during and after the reality show, he is unable to wed Opeyemi Ayanwale, also known as Imisi, the winner of the show.
According to ENTV, the two became good friends while competing in the Big Brother house, leading many viewers to speculate that they would eventually fall in love.
They insisted that their relationship was purely platonic and frequently spent time together, referring to one another as siblings.
When they appeared together at public events after the show, fans kept speculating about their connection.
The rumors intensified until Kola recently addressed the issue in a webcast.
Responding to a fan’s question, Kola said that Imisi is like a sister to him and that marriage or dating is out of the question.
He asked fans to stop linking them romantically and to focus on his personal journey instead.
He said: “Imisi is my sister, I can’t marry my sister. Imisi is in her house, I am in my house. Please, can we make this about me?”
During his time in the Big Brother house, Kola had shown interest in another housemate, Dede, but their bond did not turn romantic as she was already in a committed relationship outside the show.
After the season ended, Dede also mentioned that she would not have dated Kola even if she were single because they were not compatible.
