BBMzansi’s third season has delivered nothing but strong thrills. The season has kept us on our toes, in keeping with the Beke le Beke theme, which translates to “week in and week out” in Sotho languages. For the Housemates, becoming too comfy has resulted in some shocking surprises! For us Biggie fanatics, this means we get to see iconic moments unfold in rapid succession! Here are Biggie’s five most surprising narrative developments so far.

THE FAKE NOMINATION

Not long after, a major shocker hit. The Housemates were summoned to the Diary Sessions to list their Nominations, which would subsequently be used to determine whether or not they should be evicted. They had no idea that none of the Nominees would be evicted. Instead, we got to watch how the Housemates came to play the game in the first place. Who is in jeopardy from whom, and why?

ANONYMOUS HOUSEMATES

When the Housemates first arrived, they quickly discovered that their ice-breakers would have an unanticipated dynamic. Biggie told them not to divulge their real names at first, so the first Nominations would be pretty exciting. It also meant that the Housemates had to figure out how to navigate their new social circle without knowing the names of the people who lived there. To put this to the test, the Housemates, who were still undercover at the time, were instructed to drop all pretenses and share their true stories for the first Wager Task!

THE MOST RECENT ADDITIONS

This was one of the most significant game-changers of the season. Biggie surprised the Housemates on Sunday night’s Live Show by introducing two new Housemates. Vyno and Nthabii have already begun to make movements, ratcheting up their game to compensate for their tardiness. No one could have predicted that!

NOMINATIONS OF THE ELITE

Terry was named Head of House last week, and Themba was named Deputy Head of House. Biggie dropped a surprise just as we were waiting to discover who the Housemates will nominate for a probable Eviction! Only the HoH and DHoH were expected to submit nominations, with Terry having the upper hand because she could use her Veto Powers to remove one of Themba’s choices and substitute it with someone else. She did! 

BIGGIE’S STANDARD 

The Housemates entered with a lot of self-assurance. We know because they dealt 100 percent for their first Wager Task in the House, risking losing all of their rights. However, Biggie’s standard is a little higher than they anticipated, resulting in a humiliating defeat! It cost, and we know since they only risked 25% in the second Wager Task. What will be the outcome?
