Reunion: Biggie’s pearls of wisdom are the things you should retain, and here’s why.

Shine Ya Eye

Biggie’s Diary Room has provided us with some remarkable words of wisdom that have not only brightened the spirits of the Housemates this Season, but have also struck a chord with us.

Here’s a rundown of all the golden nuggets of wisdom we’ll never forget from the great man himself!

When Cross wondered how Emmanuel became Head of House, he wondered why luck was not on his side and tried to figure out how luck seems to those who need it the most. “When an incident occurs, it’s only natural for us to question how it happened?” Biggie reminded Cross. The simplest answer, on the other hand, is the most preferable. To put it another way, Emmanuel is HoH since he won the HOH Games.” At first glance, this statement may appear dismissive, but as we learned more about the background, we saw that Biggie’s point was simple: worrying about the unknown is merely another trap door that can lead to anxiety. Keeping it simple is a means of accepting circumstances beyond our control and living in the current moment because that is all you have power over.

“You don’t have to explain yourself all of the time.”

While Biggie praised Nini for doing an excellent job on her Secret Task, he suggested that if she spoke less about what she observed, the Housemates would leave her alone. Because “no” is a complete statement, it’s sometimes okay to just perform your share and leave it at that. In essence, this was a gentle reminder that when we’re being questioned by those around us, it’s sometimes good to create some boundaries and keep sensitive things to yourself, but most importantly, if you’re making huge life decisions, stay the course alert.

“It’s sometimes a good idea to ask questions about subjects you think you know.”

We don’t always know everything, and even when we do, it’s fine to have clarity and a sense of direction for what may appear to be apparent matters. It may appear that making a fool of yourself by asking for clarification for a few minutes is preferable than doing the incorrect thing, which could result in a lifetime of regrets. Keep your head held high and communicate frankly and honestly about anything from love to general areas of life that involve second parties.

Kindness is important.

We all enjoy receiving praises, and it’s always great to be recognized frequently by others around us. While most men hardly ever express respect or praise for one another, Biggie reminds us that “complimenting a man doesn’t indicate you’re attracted to him.” Now, you know what to do if someone is wearing a stylish suit, looking suave in a velvet mule loafer, and smelling like a million dollars. Compliments have a way of brightening someone’s day since they are a display of compassion. We hope you’ll be the one to show your admiration here, because tiny acts of kindness have a way of encouraging those around you.

Empathy reigns supreme.

We define empathy as the ability to comprehend and share another’s feelings, and Biggie went all out in this lesson to teach us the fundamentals of empathy. During his Diary Session after receiving his second Strike, Big Brother questioned Saga how he would have felt if he had watched a video of Pere expressing the things he (Saga) had said about him. We learnt from this role reversal in teaching Saga to empathize and fix his mistakes that just because you don’t believe you did anything wrong doesn’t mean you don’t owe the next person an apology.

Don’t be frightened to shed a tear! “Crying or expressing sadness does not make you weak,” Biggie explains. It transforms you into a human being.” Crying can be therapeutic, providing a release for pent-up emotions. It’s fine to let it all out and weep it out.

We could go on and on about Biggie’s pearls of wisdom, but the essential thing to remember right now is that wisdom isn’t only cool phrasing; it’s about understanding when to use that information for the right cause.
