In the year 2000, Laycon and Toby Shang collaborate to bless icons and the streets with a new anthem title.
For the release of this special track, “2000,” produced by Quebeat, Laycon, an award-winning Nigerian singer and Afropopper, enlists the participation of Afrohype sensation Toby Shang.
Laycon was born and raised in Lagos and is a Fierce Nation Entertainment artist. “I strive to broaden my creative as much as possible and aspire to become more diverse,” Laycon says of his musical style. I can rap as well as sing. I also play a couple instruments, so I can do a little bit of everything.”
In the second half of 2019, Laycon released his first label single, ‘Fierce,’ featuring Chinko Ekun and Reminisce. In April of this year, he released his much awaited “Who Is Laycon” EP.
Laycon’s latest song “2000” is the follow-up to his first 2022 hit, “New Dimension,” which featured Made Kuti. The ‘Show Me Love’ ladies, people who are always in need of $2k, social media influencers, and We Outside Gang are all mentioned in this song.
