After a video of his colleague Phyna getting into a furious argument at an Abuja hotel went viral, reality TV personality Chizzy Francis defended her.
Chizzy asked detractors to stop disparaging Phyna in a social media post, reminding them that she is a human being who is mourning and deserving of respect.
He denounced the surge of cyberbullying aimed at her, emphasizing that making fun of someone who is suffering does not make them more resilient.
Chizzy disclosed that Phyna just lost her sister and said that many people are ignorant of the private hardships that others endure.
He appealed to the public to show compassion rather than judgment, writing, “Let’s focus on spreading love and support instead. We don’t know what we’d do in her shoes. Let’s be kind. Anyi bu nwanne.”
