Although the cause of his death has not been revealed, Kemi Filani recalls that Nollywood star Emmanuel Ehumadu had appealed for help in keeping the veteran actor alive for months.

Gbenga Richards is a well-known veteran actor in Nigerian cinema.

He is best renowned for his action roles, and he has made significant contributions to the growth and development of the Nollywood industry.

On Labista’s post he said;

 “There are so many veteran Nollywood actors who are dying in silence. After there contributions to the growth of Nollywood and the nation, they end up in pain and penury over any illness.

Gbenga Richards need our help. Let not wait until he’s dead to post his pictures, write RIP(rest in peace) on his wall and look for who to blame.”
