SSS withdraws personnel from Governor Adeleke pending his intervention.

According to reports, the State Security Service (SSS) has removed its staff associated with Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State.

According to information obtained, the security agency removed the staff on Thursday as a result of a dispute between the staff and police officers in the governor’s convoy.

The SSS headquarters stated that until Mr. Adeleke has addressed the matter, it will not release its officers.

ADC to the governor invited some police officers from the Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SIB) to replace the SSS employees in the governor’s convoy, according to sources in the governor’s convoy, and this sparked a conflict.

According to reports, the governor’s SSS chief reported the slight to his state headquarters in Osogbo.

The governor’s spokeswoman, Olawale Rasheed, confirmed the news in a statement on Sunday.

A “small quarrel” between police and SSS agents attached to the governor’s motorcade was described by Mr. Rasheed as the situation.

He stated, “A report on the purported departure of security personnel from Governor Ademola Adeleke has been brought to the notice of the Osun State Government.

He continued, “We want to make it clear that it is a little disagreement between police and Department of State Service officers.

The two security agencies’ corporate offices are handling the situation, according to the governor’s spokeswoman.

“The two security agencies’ corporate offices have been informed of the issue for settlement. The problem is being resolved, he said.

“We reassure members of the public that there is no cause for alarm. Your Governor is fully secured and governance is proceeding without let or hindrance,” he said.
