At the FIFA awards event in Paris on Monday, Lionel Messi won the Best FIFA Men’s Player award, defeating Karim Benzema of Real Madrid and teammate Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain.

Alexia Putellas of Barcelona received the Best FIFA Women’s award for the second year in a row, while Emiliano Martinez and Scaloni of Argentina were named the greatest goalkeeper and head coach, respectively.

Among the other female winners, Sarina Wiegman of England’s Dutch coaching staff won the award for best coach, while Mary Earps was chosen keeper of the year.

Marcin Oleksy, a Polish amputee, scored an amazing acrobatic volley with Warta Poznan against Stal Rzeszow to win the Puskas award for best goal of the year.
