Segun Daniel Oluemo, better known by his stage name Sheggz, is a reality television celebrity and Big Brother Naija season 7 Level Up housemate who has stated that if he were to win the competition, Nigerians would not allow the prize money to be given to him.
Sheggz claimed that because he is already privileged, Nigerians would not view him as the show’s legitimate winner and that he shouldn’t leave with the prize money that belongs to a participant who is less fortunate.
“I want to win the money but I don’t plan getting to the final. I don’t think they’ll give me the money even if I deserve it. They’re not going to give it to me. I don’t think if Nigerians will agree”, Sheggz was quoted as saying.
Doyin concurred to Sheggz’s claim, and she said, “I don’t think so, but there are some sense to what you’re saying. Like the privileged people, Nigerians don’t really like them.
Sheggz continued, as he gave an instance where Mike Edwards of Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem season 4 show made it to the finale but couldn’t be given the opportunity by viewers to win the show.
He said, “Airreys, Mike or whatever his name is, he was actually married. And I think he was very successful by making money by himself, although I don’t know his family background.
“He was in the final. Everyone was saying Mike could have won, but he wasn’t a top contender. Mercy was 100 percent going to win”.
In the living room, Sheggz, Doyin, Bella, and Adekunle had a discussion regarding some of the previous Housemates, particularly the Pepper Dem edition.
