Alhassan Ado Doguwa, an APC-Kano member of the House of Representatives, has warned residents in his district to vote for the party on election day or get ready to be dealt with.
According to the Daily Nigerian, the threat was made during a political gathering in Kano state by the Reps majority leader.
Doguwa, a member of the green chamber who represents the Doguwa/Tudun-Wada Federal Constituency, is running for reelection to complete his eighth term.
You must vote for the APC in Doguwa or we will take action against you, repeat after me.
His threat came just days after Abdullahi Abbas, the APC’s state chairman in Kano, declared that the party will take the state “either by hook or by crook.”
In order to prevent a calm electoral process, many stakeholders have called for Doguwa’s arrest.
In an online video that is becoming viral, the politician, who spoke in Hausa, remarked;
“To God who made me, on election day, you must vote for APC or we deal with you.
“I’m saying it again: on election day you either vote for APC, or we deal with you.
“Repeat after me, in Doguwa you either vote for APC or we deal with you.”
