Maria Chike Benjamin, a Big Brother Naija ‘shine ya eye’ housemate, has persisted in denying claims that she stole her boyfriend, Kevin, from his separated wife.
Maria asserted that she was unaware that Kevin was married when they first started dating in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.
Maria affirmed her remarks and stated emphatically that she didn’t end his marriage.
She asserts that she is not and would never be a “home wrecker.”
“I actually wasn’t aware whether or not he was married when he first started dating. What I am going to stand by and the gospel truth and I didn’t destroy any marriage. I have never and would never”.
Maria initial response
Maria finally admitted the truth, saying that just because she has kept silent about the entire husband-snatching scandal doesn’t imply she is a weak person.
Maria said that she didn’t damage anyone’s home and that keeping quiet was beneficial for all parties involved.
She claims that because she hasn’t stated that keeping her peace doesn’t make her weak, she is merely showing respect for the various parties involved.
“And I’m going to address this once and only this once, I’ve been quiet on the whole husband snatcher issue, I did not ruin any home, my silence is for the best of so many people involved. That I haven’t said my peace doesn’t make me weak, I am respecting so many people involved and their privacy”.
Cubana Chief Priest Accusation
Remember how the Cubana Chief Priest dragged Maria in October 2021, accusing her of wrecking his marriage?
He disclosed that his sister ended the marriage when she learned that her husband, Kelvin, had paid for Maria to enter the Big Brother Naija reality competition.
The Cubana Chief Priest further explained that his sister had traveled to Dubai to see their estranged husband, who had rebuffed her calls and had eventually seen Maria at his house while wearing his T-shirt.
The famous Barman further disclosed that Kelvin was in charge of maintaining Maria’s Instagram account throughout the reality program, introduced her to the entertainment industry entrepreneur Paul Okoye, and cautioned her against ever sending his sister threats after she left her marital home.
