Samuel Adun, a grieving father, has promised to pay N100,000 to anyone with information that would result in his son -in-law, Inuaghata, being apprehended.
It was said that Inuaghata had murdered Osaretin, his wife who was expecting.
On Friday, Adun revealed to reporters in Benin that his daughter had three children with the suspect.
Inuaghata had fled into hiding after the incident occurred on May 24, he added, adding that he had been informed that his daughter had been murdered by her husband.
I’m from the Orhionmwon Local Government Area, he declared. My daughter’s spouse killed her. She had a 23-year-old age. On May 24, the event took place in Egba.
“I do not understand the problem they had that led to the killing of my daughter. I was called that my daughter was killed. He used a knife to slit her throat; she was pregnant when she was killed. I want the boy arrested.
“I will give anybody N100,000 for information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect. The boy had not formally married my daughter. His parents are both dead. I have called his brother that he ran away after killing my daughter.”
Chidi Nwabuzor, the public relations officer for the Edo State Police, said that he had not been made aware of the situation.
