Following their separation, a Ghanaian teenage TikTok influencer named Felicia Abena, also known as Abena Pretty on TikTok, was beheaded by her ex-boyfriend.
Abena was alleged to have released a video with her TikTok fans claiming she would never go back to her ex-boyfriend, following which her brutal murder occurred on Saturday, June 17, 2023, 5 days after she made the post.
According to Ghana Web, Abena Pretty, a 23-year-old Ghanaian model, was not ready to let go of her ex-boyfriend, Godwin Darko, following their breakup.
He was determined to find out where she was living after she moved out of his apartment, so he conducted an investigation, discovered where she had relocated, and paid her a visit while pretending to be attending a child dedication in her compound, where he had access to her, and gruesomely beheaded her in her room.
He allegedly violently gagged her, drowning out her calls for aid, before slitting her throat.
Following the heinous incident, the suspect leaped over the wall, disposed of the murder weapon, and fled.
Later that evening, the suspect surrendered to authorities while wearing a red shirt with the words “Rest In Peace” written on the back.
After taking inventory of the crime scene, authorities pulled the body from the cold blood and deposited it to the mortuary.
Police brought the suspect to the crime scene at 12:noon on Sunday afternoon to look for the knife used to commit the act, but they were unsuccessful.
Angry young people from the neighborhood flocked to the scene and threatened to harm the suspect.
In response, police quickly escorted the guy away in a cab.
